AIM Codes in data matrix barcodes
Hi,
We need to use GS1 data matrix barcodes to store item number, lot number and lot expiry date.
The Android app being used needs the AIM codes to be transmitted, but the scanners being used do not have a setting to include the AIM codes.
Can the AIM codes be put directly in the barcode being read?
Thank you

Re: AIM Codes in data matrix barcodes
You are not supposed to encode the AIM prefix in the barcode. The AIM prefix is added by the scanner.
Most scanners (the hardware ones) support adding AIM prefix. Normally it is done by scanning a special barcode. You should be able to find it in the manual.
