Hello,

I would like to know if there are any issues regarding the conversion of '_' character (underscore).

When I try to convert the following strings (without quotes) :

'ANSI_B18.17-M16-SS_A2' and 'DIN912-M5x12-SS_A4'

I get reading errors on 2 different scanners (something like ANSI+w57643L693A2). Is it due to conversion? datamatrix standard? scanner itself?

Thank you in advance.

Note : we noticed no other problems.

Which Morovia product you used to produce the barcode? Datamatrix fontware or the Barcode ActiveX? And if you have bought for a while, list the version number here too.

Hi,

We used activeX component embedded in Microsoft Axapta. As it did not work, we tried the same string with the 'Morovia DataMatrix Encoder V1.2' you provide - same result.

I'm not sure about versions :

 - Morovia DataMatrix Encoder is version V1.2
 - the readme : 'Readme for Morovia Data Matrix Fontware V3.0'

I just remarked that there are some special procedure to convert extended/control characters (giving some code instead). Are underscores concerned?

Thank you in advance,

François

Francois,

Thank you for reporting the issue.

We have determined that it is a software bug in the DataMatrix Fontware v3.0. The same issue does not appear in Barcode ActiveX 3.2 (http://www.morovia.com/activex/) but the latter product uses a new encoder library.

We'll take a close look at this issue and will post a update by the end of this month.

So, what do I have to do now to fix this? Download some new version?
