Monterey Barcode Creator version updated to V3.0.1.0. If you bought MBC V3.0 prior to the date of March 14, 2005, please apply this update.
This update corrects 1 major Code 128 encoding issue and 2 minor UI issues.
Bug description: (1) The Code 128 encoder does not encode correctly for mixed numeric data, such as 123A-$$Sass\004. The original implement does generate the correct barcode if the data is all numeric or begins with a non-numeric character. (2) The program displays another icon under the 16-color system. (3) In the Options dialog, the template file can not be cleared by blanking the edit field. (although you can clear the current template by passing an invalid file path).
Scope: Customers who bought the Monterey Barcode Creator Version 3.0 prior to March 15 are impacted. We strongly recommend applying this update if you need to make Code 128 barcodes.
If you bought the software online after March 15, 2005 you do not need to do anything. The software downloaded already contains the fix.
How to apply the fix
Since there is only one binary file for retail and trial versions, you can simply download the setup from here:
http://www.morovia.com/info/download-link.asp?product_id=MLS-C03
If you have the V3.0.0 version installed in the computer, the installer will simply update the EXE file. Otherwise you will be prompted to input License To / Registration Code during the set up.
