Help recognizing a type of UPC-A barcode
Hi,
I am trying to generate barcodes for signage for signage for our products at a customer's chain of stores (in the USA)
They gave me a sample of the barcode that they want (and currently use). It is a 12 digit UPC number, but the barcode looks a bit different from a regular UPC and it is MUCH smaller than a regular UPC (only 16 mm wide by 5 mm tall - approx. 5/8" wide by 3/16" high). Unlike a regular UPC, all the digits are together in one string (not separated by any bars) and all the bars are the same height
Can someone tell me the name of the format of this barcode ?
And how I can generate a barcode of this small size ?
Thank you for your help,
Pierre

Re: Help recognizing a type of UPC-A barcode
If the bar/space patterns match the regular UPC-A, it is a UPC-A barcode printed in a different way (all bars have the same height and human readable printed below the barcode).
It could be RSS (Reduced Space Symbology) which prints 14-digit GTIN (UPC-A with prefix 00).
If you send the image to us (support@morovia.com) we can help you post it here.
