The package contains the following 5 true type font files. In addition to
the 5 true type font files, PDF417 Font Encoders (ActiveX and GUI
versions) are also included. Also included are the samples for Microsoft
Access, Mail Merge and
Crystal Reports.
A PDF417 symbol is made up a lot of small cells. Each cell has
different aspect ratio in different fonts. Generally speaking, a symbol is
tallest when it is generated with MRV PDF417XT font and shortest with MRV
PDF417XS font.
As PDF417 encoding is very complicated, we include the PDF417 encoder
with every PDF417 font package. You can adjust a couple of factors: security
level, number of rows, number of columns, whether the symbol is truncated
(without ending bars). Off course, you can always adjust the symbol shape
and size by
increasing or decreasing the font point size, or changing font typeface. For
optimal results we recommend point size 6.
To encourage purchases of the retail version, the PDF417 symbol generated
by the encoder contains "demo" text. This limitation is removed in the
retail version.

Note: PDF417 encoding is very complicated. We provide a PDF417 encoder
(GUI version and ActiveX version) with the package. They can only run on
Windows platform.
The PDF417 fonts are design to work under point size 4 and above.
Point size 6 is recommended.
PDF417 symbology can encode any
characters within the ASCII value ranging from 0 to 255. In PDF417 Encoder
and our Font tools, you
can use the ASCII value to represent a non-printable character, such as
\000 for character NUL ( the first character in the ASCII table).
It is impossible to manually convert input into barcode string. To
assist our customers to integrate Morovia PDF417 Fontware with other
applications such as Microsoft Office and Web, we include PDF417
Encoders with every package - including PDF417 Encoder ActiveX and
PDF417 Encoder GUI. With a developer license you are allowed to
distribute the encoder DLL and font with your application. |
