With the fast advance of technology, it is no longer necessary to buy special printer for printing barcode now. What you need is to find a barcode print software. Windows true type Font is one of this kind of software. It's a smart and simple solution to use font for barcode print. Once installed, Windows true type font is available for all applications installed on this computer.

Morovia barcode Fontware (barcode fonts) consists high-quality true type fonts. The glyph structures are carefully calculated so as to meet the requirements of public symbology specification. Each font family contains at least 5 fonts of different measurements, plus with human readable text option and without. Therefore, Morovia Fontware usually consists of 10 true type fonts.

It's easy to use font. However, some barcode symbology require checksum character. So, please check your documentation before using barcode font.  If you want to integrate Morovia Fontware with your own application, check here for more information about our free Font Tools.

Barcode symbologies that do not require checksum calculation are called “Self Checking Barcode”. Although these barcode formats do not require check character, start/stop characters are normally required. Non self-checking barcode symbologies require checksum character(s) as well as start/stop characters.

Morovia barcode fonts always use MRV prefix. This ID has been registered with Microsoft, click here for the list in Microsoft Typography web site.

OCR-A, OCR-B, MICR Fonts

OCR-A, OCR-B, MICR E-13B and MICR CMC-7 fonts are most widely used machine readable fonts. When designing your own business or personal checks, you may consider using Morovia SecurePay™ Fonts to increase check security.

Farrington 7B Fontware - primarily used to credit card number embossing. Published in March 2005.

Postal Fonts

U.S. Postal Package: This barcode font packages consists of true type fonts for Postnet, Planet, Postal 128, Postal Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes. This package also comes with special punctuation symbols for printing standard US envelopes.

Royal Mail and 4-State Postal Fontware. This package consist of fonts to print UK Royal Mail postal barcode, as well as 4-State postal barcode in several other countries.

2D Barcode Fonts

PDF417 - This barcode font package contains 6 different versions of true type fonts, complete documentation, a PDF417 encoder and font tools for Microsoft office. Click here for more information.

DataMatrix is the most efficient 2D symbology. The DataMatrix encoders (GUI and ActiveX versions) are included.

Self Checking Barcode Fonts

Code 39 – the most widely used alpha-numeric symbology. To learn more about Code39 symbology, click here. Morovia code 39 font can also be used to construct code 39 extended symbols. Code39 barcode font packages contains 10 different versions of Code 39 barcode fonts.

Code 39 Extended  - This barcode font package includes all ASCII characters. Just type the character, add start/stop characters and you get a standard Code39 extended symbol. Easy, simple!
Codabar – A barcode symbology that is used in US blood banks and some libraries around the world. It encodes 10 digital characters plus +, -, :, / characters.
Code25 – a.k.a. Industry 25. A numeric barcode symbology.
ITF25 – a.k.a Interleaved 2 of 5. A widely used high density barcode symbology.

Non-Self-checking Barcode Fonts

Most high-density symbologies require check digits. 

Do not worry. Morovia Barcode Font Tools – a series of FREE tools and source code assist you add barcode into any Windows applications.  Morovia Font Tools include a full-fledged GUI program - Fontpal and source code written in Visual Basic, ANSI C/C++  and JavaScript. We will add more language support later.
Code 11 – Mainly used by label telecom equipments. Specification can be found here.
EAN/UPC/Bookland – The most widely used barcode symbology in retail industry. It encodes only numeric data, and every number has different encoding based on the location. We have a series of articles about UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, ISBN in the knowledge library.
Code 128 – An alpha numeric symbology, high density, widely used in many occasions. Morovia Code 128 barcode font allows you to print barcode for Code 128, UCC-128, EAN-128, SSCC-18 and SCC-14.

Code 93 - Code93 can encode full ASCII table. It is better than Code 39 that the barcode reader can recognize normal Code 93 symbols and extended symbols without configuration change. Two check characters are required.

Double-byte Version

If you need to print Code128, Interleaved 2 of 5 or UPC/JAN/EAN/Bookland barcode from a double-byte version Windows, you need to purchase an double-byte version of the product. The double-byte version is able to work on a double-byte platform as well as single-byte platforms. For more details, click here. Note: you only need double-byte version for these three symbologies; other symbology fonts do not need any modifications for them to work universally.
